Marine Fuels

VG EcoFuel manufactures fuel for marine use. VG Marine EcoFuel^TM is a sulfur-free fuel that also meets future greenhouse gas emission regulations. The fuel can be used as is or blended with fossil diesel fuel for marine transport. It can directly replace heavy fuel oil and light fuel oil after further processing. The raw materials for VG Marine EcoFuel^TM are 100% recycled vegetable fats and fish processing waste.

Used Oil Collection

We collect used cooking fats from restaurants across Finland. Our collection points are located, for example, in wholesalers. We can also deliver a collection container directly to the restaurant if large quantities of used fats are generated. We have aimed to make recycling as easy as possible for users: collection points are located where the oils are purchased, and oils can be returned to our collection points in their original packaging.

Sustainable Circular Economy

Waste-based bio-oils are a sustainable alternative to replace virgin bio-oils. In this way, production does not compete with food production, and raw materials are sourced locally.

The energy used in our process comes from a biogas plant, where the waste generated in our production also ends up, transforming back into energy and fertilizer for agriculture.
